VBKI-MENTORING
Application start for the 2026 cohort of the VBKI Mentoring Program
The VBKI Mentoring Program is a 9-month individual learning process combined with an exchange of experience and knowledge transfer between two people. The mentors involve the mentees seeking solutions and pass on relevant experience. It is a give and take for both sides.
After the final event of this year's mentoring program took place in September, the application period for next year's cohort is now beginning.
In addition to the kick-off and closing events, there will be a mountain party and further input between the three milestones.
The mentors and mentees organize the individual meetings of the tandems independently. In addition, regular alumni meetings are also held to provide participants with a long-term community. No VBKI membership is required to participate in the program.

🌟 Two are better than one - apply as a duo! To participate, please suggest a second person from your network who would also like to be a mentor or mentee. Don't worry: this person will not be your own mentor or mentee, but will also be matched to you.
VBKI membership not required - The program offers you the opportunity to get to know the VBKI for 9 months, without any obligations.
🤝 Perfect matches - We use a short questionnaire to ensure that each tandem is the perfect match and can grow together.
🌍 Community and networking events - As a participant, you are not alone! Numerous networking events offer space for exchange and new contacts. And: you also have access to the exclusive alumni community!

When I was nominated to the VBKI a few years ago, I also took the opportunity to take part in the VBKI mentoring program. The famous "thinking outside the box", sparring on topics relating to leadership, professional development and a very personal exchange - these are just some of the aspects that moved me together with my mentor at the time, Daniela Teichert. To this day, I am very grateful to her for her impulses and the very valuable exchange at an earlier stage of my career. Taking part is worthwhile - for both sides!

I can only encourage you to get involved with this program. I have had very good experiences as a mentor because this program is not a one-way street. Both sides, mentee and mentor, gain valuable, practical insights for everyday life, but also impulses for further development programs in companies.
