VBKI Golf Open 2026

An all-around great day of golf—sporting, relaxed, and with a fantastic atmosphere

What a day of golf! With 74 tournament participants, six enthusiastic first-timers, and additional guests at the get-together and dinner that followed, the event was a complete success, featuring plenty of golf, great conversations, and a fantastic atmosphere.

At first, the weather forecast didn’t look promising: rain had been predicted for the entire day. But the weather gods apparently took pity on us. It stayed dry for long stretches, so the flights were able to enjoy their rounds in quite decent conditions. Only a few golfers did get caught in the rain—and they got it good: A heavy downpour briefly created a real “British Open” atmosphere. But that’s all part of golf—and by the time they hit their next good shot, the downpour was already forgotten.

The field of participants was exceptionally strong and diverse. It included everyone from experienced players to ambitious golfers. It was an excellent mix for exciting rounds, competitive spirit, and plenty of fun on the course.
After the competition, the day continued in a relaxed atmosphere with a get-together and dinner. Over good conversation, cool drinks, and a successful evening, everyone reflected on the day’s tournament. Golf truly brings people together—both on the course and afterward.
