VBKI-Preis BERLINER GALERIEN
As an art location, Berlin is one of Europe's top addresses. However, the German capital still has potential as an art market location. The VBKI-Preis Berliner Galerien , which was awarded for the first time in 2017, is helping to close this gap: Berlin is to become just as much a leading art trading center. The galleries are an important driving force behind this.

An emergency aid project to support the Berlin music scene
Berlin is a creative hotspot in Europe: people from many nations come here - the vibrant arts and culture industry and the music and event scene in particular act as a magnet for them. However, music professionals have been hit particularly hard by the coronavirus pandemic and have come under existential pressure.
In 2021, the VBKI, together with GESOBAU and Engel & Völkers, launched the Corona emergency aid project #hierspieltdiemusik to financially support professional Berlin musicians and thus preserve the creative diversity of our city.

Auction gala "We for Berlin"
The VBKI has been organizing the "Wir für Berlin" auction gala since 2016. The motto: bidding for a good cause. Every two years, we auction off exceptional and exclusive lots to open up opportunities and create prospects. All proceeds go to VBKI's charitable projects, such as the initiative for people with refugee and migrant backgrounds "Einstieg zum Aufstieg", the "BERLINER LESEPATEN" or the sports project "Sport mach Schule". The association "Land in Sicht e.V.", Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. and Wirtschaft kann Kinder e.V. are also supported.
