With a lot of drive for a good cause
Third VBKI Golf Open: 10,000 euros in donations for Sport macht Schule
ON THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF THE VBKI GOLF OPEN, THE WEATHER GODS WERE GRACIOUS. 74 VBKI MEMBERS DEFIED THE BAD WEATHER FORECASTS AND WERE REWARDED WITH GOOD WEATHER AND AN EXCITING COMPETITION RIGHT UP TO THE LAST HOLE AT SEDDINER SEE. THE SPECIAL THING: IN THE TEXAS SCRAMBLE TOURNAMENT FORMAT, IT'S NOT EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF - YOU CAN ONLY WIN AS A TEAM
Each team consisted of four players, including PGA professionals as well as players with a handicap of 54. First, all players in a team tee off. The members can then discuss which ball from their group they should continue playing with. Once the team has agreed on a ball, all team members continue playing from the selected position. The hole is then considered finished as soon as a player has holed out. The lowest team score is recorded and added up at the end of the 18 holes. A golf taster course was held for newcomers as part of the tournament.

"We've already been through a wave of digitalization. Back then, too, we were told that everything would be easier from now on - but it wasn't. Instead, new work was added. It will be no different with the use of AI."
Stefan Buschmann, lawyer and tax consultant at Buschmann Partnerschaft
After the tournament, the participants were treated to a dinner together, including a small auction. This raised 10,000 euros for our project. Sport macht Schule for our project. Thank you very much!
Here you can find all the pictures of the day.
We would also like to thank the three main sponsors of the event, without whom the tournament would not be possible: Mercedes-Benz Niederlassung Berlin, DIE AG Unternehmensgruppe and WSD sports.
